Time for this creature to nest
Well I finally did it, I am officially engaged. I had been planning to give my girlfriend, who is now my fiance, the engagement ring since Thanksgiving but for reasons out of my control I had to postpone for Christmas. She had been asking me, "What did you get me for Christmas", and kept saying," Vitamins", she would respond, " I didn't really want to know what you gave me, but are you serious?", I would respond, "Yes, I am, but the true gift and the element of surprise is that you don't know what type of vitamins you are getting? They could multi's, chewables, Triple Flex, the odds are endless?" This did not please her at all. Then Christmas Day at midnight all the kids opened their presents and I gave Jennifer a bag with tissue paper and vitamins inside. I had told my sister to get the camera because she would like to take a picture of this, then she opened her bag and pulled out a vitamin bottle, which she happily accepted and said,"Vitamins? How nice? Thank You," oh to be mind reader at that time would have been great, there would have been more expletives in a row that would definitely get me and my lineage banished from blogging for at least 3 to 4 generations. Well, I kept encouraging her to pull out more bottles of vitamins and when she was near the end, I pulled out the ring and before my family asked her to marry me, which she said, "Yes, I will marry you!" and with those words, I move into another phase of my life. Oh, and Kobe likes her as well.

Class over for week 5
I have not been writing lately and that is because I have been either too occupied with UOP MBA or out playing with the dog and seeing what is going on, it does not mean that I have been thinking about all of you but that I have not had somethings of interest to share. Well Kobe is now going on 11 months and has grown into a big dog, big puppy, he still likes being chased around and being able to hold him down is now my big thing to do to him. The little guy tries to push me off of him but I just use the dead weight method and just lie there until he can no longer resist and have to let him go. I did that last night and I just about died from the laughter of he not being able to push me off. I also chased him around with the newspaper to slap him on the tail but that guy is fast and a trickster. He changes speeds on me so I can not anticipate where he is going to be moving to next. I am now 7 classes away from the degree and I am scheduled to finish in March 7, 2008. I do not know what I will do next but for sure I need to do something, can't just stay home and watch TV, maybe I'll go back to the gym and take some of this weight off, who knows.
I am thinking about going to USC for MSME.

It has been a while
Sometimes things that start off to good tend to fizzle, kinda like a relationship, if it starts off too hot the temperature can not stay hot forever so it tends to fall off, but I am not saying that this media is like a woman or anything, ewww that is gross. But in any case, for the past month I have been concentrating on my school work and things of that nature, so I apologize for not keeping you up to date with what's goin' on. In the recent days I have noticed that Kobe is a dog in all sense of the word, I took him to the dog park and he did his usual sniffing around and then he tried to mount on 2 different occasions, a chocolate lab and a yellow lab, man this guy is pimp, but in actuality it was embarrassing. I had to take Kobe for a walk around the Rose Bowl instead. The school work has been a little tough in that I have to keep up with the reading and investigate organizations that I am not to familiar with. I have updated my flickr account so if anyone wants to see it they can check it out at the same name, Serginator1. Well off to study I will go now, I will try to not be far in between updates.

Come get your trash
Well,
Maybe I am either getting older and grumpier or my expectations for what I pay for are not being met. Your probably wondering WTH, not weight thickness hardness, for those at work who read me might find funny, in any case, I live in Pasadena and around this time I feel cranky because I am going to have send off a check for $2800 which I must also do in February. So when I go outside and see that my street has not been swept for about a month and then after making 2 calls in the past 2 weeks not a thing has been done and then finally seeing the street sweeper pass by and leave the same mess slightly moved over by a foot, that just broke the camels back. I sent out a letter and later that same day I come home to see the street has been swept. I feel so relieved to know that we are taken care of by our city managers.
I guess street maintenance is one of those things that we just take for granted until it is not being done and I guess its better to not think about trash until it becomes a problem. I am just relieved to know that its gone until next time. Now its the cars that park overnight that must be re-addressed.
Yesterday I went to Shakey's for lunch and it was tasty, a coworker who is pregnant last week, meaning last week and not that she became pregnant last week had a craving or more of a want to go to Shakey's so we did and it was delish, mojos, chicken, pizza, pasta, corn, mashed taters/gravy, and some soda pop, life is good.
Kobe is running low on food so I had to go to Sam's Club and get him some vittles. I got some soda pop, grape jelly, soup (for my sore throat), and a bag of Halls throat lozenges.

Things left unsaid
Well many of you might have noticed that I have not been writing as much, I apologize for not keeping you abreast of "What's Going On!!" life is what is going on and it has prevented me from writing. Kobe is developing a great attachment to me and that is good, with the exception, if I am not around him he will poop on the grass nearest to me, which is not good since I have to pick it up off the grass and not to mention the damage to the grass. If I am near him he will go to his designated area and do his business, I guess he loves me so much that I doesn't want to lose focus of where I am. What a great dog I have.
In other news a friend of mine got married on Saturday and the wedding was nice, I got to see my friends from college and I had a great time talking and catching up with them. The food was good, beef and chicken in a buffet style layout, how can that be bad. We had to leave early because my girlfriend was feeling ill, she has been fighting the flu virus for a while, which brings up the point that I am not 100% lately maybe she gave me the bug. Damn those bugs.
The masters program is going well, on Monday we had a group presentation and it was okay, I tried a new method of presenting and it was not too good for me, but I need to keep practicing, so that I will not rely on the slides but use the slides to make others listen to me rather than read the screen of what I will be presenting.
Today, I went to the Pasadena Code Compliance center at 8AM and it is official; my wall is good on all levels. I will do another project later maybe to build a 2 car garage, that is if the city permits me.
One more thing on Friday we went to Dave & Buster's and my girlfriend and I wanted to see a basketball game but all the tables were taken, they wanted to seat us away from the tubes but I asked to be closer so she moved us, one table over, she then asks , "Is this alright?" I asked her, in a sarcastic tone, because I thought it warranted it, I am not normally like that,"What has changed with us sitting 6 feet over here?" she looked puzzled, like I asked her to breakdown a matrices to the lowest echelon form. My girlfriend said, you might be able to see that TV over there, which I could just because Dr. Maloney from the Vision Eye Institute was able to bless me with 20/15 on both the right and left eye and I needed every bit of it to see a 36" from 60 feet away, I was so far from the TV that it looked like kids on a spiderman bounder at a birthday party on the screen, for all I know it could have been a boxing match or dog fighting.

Finally, I can get some sleep
As you are all well aware of now, I have lectures on Monday for the MBA and boy did I have a long weekend for homework, all I did was study and read and write. I didn't finish the paper until Sunday night, Monday morning and the paper turned out to be 5,000 words and that is the most that the instructor was willing to read ( the minimum for the paper is 2500-3000), I have to learn to write less.
Anyhow class was interesting in that one person was reprimanded for looking at stuff on the Internet and not paying attention (if she didn't want to pay attention she should just do the online course). Anyhow, Monday night I played with Kobe and let him run around and play.
Tuesday my first real night of sleep and the neighbor's begin arguing about the bills that need to get paid. This guy is in his open door garage tuning the radio on full volume and then slamming his door shut, then oping the door and turning up and down the radio, then the house guest or whatever the guy is tries calming the guy down, here are a few word phrases that I picked out,"Big mama puts up with alot of sh*t and dats not good for her heart, but y'all niggas ain't gonna kill me like dat", "I have to hear my wife talk 'bout how she pays all the bills up in here and how y'all niggas ain't putting nutting down on it, I know I don't pay sh*t, but I hear 'bout it so I am paying for it, but y'all niggas are getting by wit out hearin' it, niggas it is now y'all turn to listen to what I hear every f***ing night". The guy made a valid point but did he have to keep talking about it for what seemed like 40 minutes, starting at 11PM. My roommate put an end to it by calling the cops, stating that he heard something about a gun and that brought the cops out right away. Right before the cops came the guy was talking madness about how he is not afraid of the police but when the cops showed up he closed his garage door and that ended his lil' tirade. Selfish turd.

Friday and no more barking
Well, taking time off at work is a difficult thing. I have not taken a vacation since I have been here nor do I want to take a day off, but work regulations require me to do so, so I did and that day was Thursday. The day was much like any other for the exception that I was awaiting the package from Petco, what was it you ask? Well, what every dog owner at some point wants extra hours of no barking and control over the dog when he is being walked.
The box arrived and inside was a bark control device, it can be described as a three pronged collar that is placed around the neck very much like a collar. I would not have bought the item if I thought that it would cause my lil' boy harm but I needed to get it so that I could sleep sometimes during the day at least til 8AM without having him bark excessively. I feed him 3 times a day and he sleeps during the day when I am at work, how do I know that?, well I have seen him 3 separate occasions just lying around sleeping during the weekdays at about 11AM-3PM.
Well on this day, I placed the collar on him and that same day and night did not hear a single bark out of him, was it cruel?, was it inhumane?, was it right?, yes, yes, yes and finally yes to sleeping in.
What other toys did I get for him, well I got him a collar that has some prongs that stick out and are used to simulate the alpha male locking in on his neck if he runs to fast or when he is being disobedient. Is he okay, well when I went running with him yesterday he was the best running partner ever not like before when he would run ahead and pull.
I also went to IN-N-OUT and had the Double Double no/onions and it was the best, Kobe went with me and he behaved himself by staying in the backseat. I gave him a treat when we got home but he doesn't know how to chew, he ate the entire treat in one swallow, like I was going to take it out of his grimy little paws.
This morning not a single bark: thank you bark control you saved my sleep and Kobe's life.

Presentation of MBA Work and a fight breaks out
Well after the information session on Thursday the result was pretty good for our team, this was apparent from evaluation yesterday. We set the template up for the others and that seemed to help them along, although yesterday at some point I did have my doubts about the outcome. I recognize now that although we are all in this MBA program to lead and manage one day some of us are not at the same level of want and needs, and I guess that must come to the hierarchy of needs, or at least I will attribute it at this time. While some want to spearhead the program some are content with following as the saying goes," Too many chiefs and not enough Indians". I guess this is okay to have the Indians but the Indians must give feedback at some time or else they would all die at some point. Anyhow, on Saturday I went to a baby shower and a bachelor party on the same day, it was quite interesting but I did not like the result of the bachelor party. Here's the scoop: I had and let me preface the situation by saying that HAD, when I growing up in high school my best friend, BFF, LOL, hung out together with his cousins which became kinda like my cousins-friends, real tight group, well I went to college and met more friends that became good friends also, well the common denominator in both set of friends is that we enjoy playing basketball so I combined the sets together about 7 years ago, and we have been friends ever since, it even got to the point where they would hang out without even inviting me. Well the bachelor party resulting in a fight, how did it happen, well since I did not see it I asked and found out that, cousin-friend thought it would be funny to pour some beer on one of the guys that was REALLY having a great time and I saw that and really thought nothing of it, guys being buys, well the guy took offense to it and says,"I'm going to kick your ass", which since I have known him means all but that, since he has said that a record number of times and to this date has never as close as come to clench a fist, which means idle threats just so that he feels good that he said it, ( not friend bashing at all just stating the facts, plus he's my friend and that would be furthest thing from my mind). Well an other friend saw this situation transpire thought he should go over to the cousin-friend and get in his face about it. Well to make a long story short cousin-friend punched college friend square in the face busting his nose, and putting and end to bachelor night and really ruining a good dance that the other guy was enjoying. The you get the backlash of questions,"Who's friend is that guy?", "You're friends messed this party up!" Of course I feel bad for what happened, but the truth is that 'he is not my friend or his friend', I responded, 'he is OUR friend, things got out of hand, a fight broke out, they partied together before I do not know what happened but he is our friend, they will find a solution for their problem'.
Also I bought a new washer since I was not enjoying going to the laundry mat that place is full of weirdos.
The baby shower had no fights, but I saw one guy looking at me when I walked in, just kiddin' (I guess as long as the party has no boos or strippers fights wont break out), oh by the way the father to be is Vietnamese and the mother is Austrian, and the guy who was looking at me was father to be's brother who I hadn't seen since his wedding and the seven course meal. Those Vietnamese sure can eat, just how do they stay so thin, a Chinese riddle I guess.
The weight is 192 lbs. not a good weekend with beers a plenty, I better run today.

What a Day
Yesterday I met with my team to start on our new assignemtn for school. I showed up on time. I read all the material and said my piece. I then heard the reasons why each one of us is there taking an MBA program; theres the advancement opportunity, wanting more from a career, and then 'my work pays for it but I really don't want it', once again I say WTF, it is my point of view that we need to fight hard and reach our goals but to just do it because its there and I don't have anything else to do, is not a reason. Then I layout the game plan for the team since I had read all the material and inform them of what we should follow so that all of us are on the same page. I then get a call today from the person with no reason for being there asking me about all the steps that I mentioned earlier, I reiterate again what we needed. Being a team player is tough.

What's for Dinner a BIKE
I have decided that I can not keep up with a daily blog so I am now doing it when I get a chance, well yesterday I arrived at home to my surprise a bicycle in the kitchen??? It turns out to be my new roommate Romi, who rides his bike to work. I had to leave him a note asking him to not bring his bike into the house. I feel bad that I had to do that but it's either his bike or my wall being scraped, his bike lost out. I didn't want to seem like such a bad guy so I asked the other roommate Tom for his input and he said, " I do see Romi's point in not wanting to leave his bike outside to the elements, but I also see that this is not an apartment where he doesn't have space outside." I feel that I would rather not have those type of things in the house. If you do not have enough space in the room for what you have then you need to seek a new place to leave your things, I am pretty cool about things but when the possessions go out of where they should be then something has got to give. I have 6250 sq.ft of lot, minus 1000 sq ft for the house and you want to put it inside, think not. Well yesterday marked the 2 years that my girlfriend and I have been together so we went out to Cheesecake Factory and had some great grub.
A few days ago I made rice and it didn't come out so I gave it to Kobe. This guy will eat anything, it did have some sausage in it, yummy.
I also ran on Tuesday, 35 minutes.

Weekend Wrap-Up
Well, this weekend I played basketball and hung out at my mom's house.
My mom is always so relaxed about everything, she is my stability in this unstable world.
I saw the fight of Barrera v. Pacquiao (I hope I spelled his name right). In any case a friend told me, earlier that day while we were playing basketball, that his cousin was going to have the fight so I showed up with some beer and when I knocked on the door, he said, "What's Up" and I responded that I was there for the fight, I told him that his cousin said that the fight was at his house, so he says, "Since you are here I might as well get the fight". So we called a few people over and they got there in a hurry and we watched a non-spectacular fight. Then he replayed some D.L Hughley and that cat is funny, the joke that had me laughing was about building a wall to keep the Mexicans out of California, Texas, New Mexico and the joke goes a little like this, 'I am not going to build that wall and neither are the white brothers, what will happen is they (politicians) will have Jose build his own wall as long as he stays on the other side.
Sunday I walked Kobe arond the Rose Bowl.
I ate and drank as I wished I will not tell anyone what bad things were consumed.

The Office/ Home
The more I come into work, which I really do enjoy, the more I feel as though I am in this weird sitcom. There are many players that resemble characters in the show Office, I guess that is why it appeals to me. The only problem with the show is that my girlfriend calls at 9 or I call her at 9 and that kind of blows the ability of me being able to see it. In any case the last few days I have been reading and getting ready for the 11th course of the 13 that I need for the Masters Program. This one is about sustaining relations with customers, I can't wait to see how the instructor is because from his bio he seems like an experienced professional with some real world yada yada yada. Wednesday I weighed 190lbs and I was really pumped about that so on that day I went to the gym and 'gots me swole on' arms were worked out and the abdominals got some love also, I purposefully have mentioned things to make it seem like I am some sort of meat head, but that is further from the truth. I went running with Kobe yesterday but I feel I need to have him on a short leash so he doesn't go out of the running limits and initiate butt sniffing during the run, he is easily distracted. Romi, the new roommate, moved in and Tom and I have to make room for him in the fridge, I think Romi cooked some fish yesterday because when I got home it smelled fishy, I hope he cooked fish. When I got home yesterday after the run I studied outside so as to keep Kobe company and that gave him the space to run around and retrieve stuff when I threw them, oh by way Kobe has again damaged another tree, this time it was a small orange tree, it was my fault for throwing the ball near the orange tree.
Weight at start: 199 lbs
Today: 191.0
I have been unable to break under 190. Damn those taquitos, I like them though. I better work out harder.

Class Time
Yesterday was a very hectic day at school and at work. First of all at school I am a part of team that is a masters program, what does it mean, well to me it means that you are learning at a higher level which would translate to being at a higher level of thought. I do not wish to say that I try harder to be creative but I do. The thought process is something that needs to be stimulated and challenged so that you can be better but a team member at school somehow feels good, to copy and paste her way through the program and at this point it does not benefit the team. Maybe it was my fault for switching the parts around and actually trying to have team members gain a more well rounded approach to data collection. I will not blame myself for what occurred yesterday in class when the team was criticized for its total plan to implement. let me first say my piece, the team member asked me if her part was okay, I responded honestly and said that it lacked a formal direction and that no stance was taken on her part, she became very defensive and said that I should have called her to tell her this, but once again it is my stance that we are in a masters program and if you have to ask me about your paper then you already know that it is crap and you should have changed it (I read her part and it was about less than one page of original work, this is not enough for us to work with, I had 3 pages and so did another team member) I then continued to say that her part was so vague that anything would have fitted into it, I then said that it so vague that we were able to do out part with no worries. This is good for us that need to extrapolate further but we do not want to have it in a critical role. In any case her part was bad I said my piece. I hate to gripe like this but it needs to get said. After class the remaining team spoke and we agreed that her sections were crap, but since she has such a bad a attitude we need to keep sane. After class I went home and played with Kobe, that little guy likes for me to throw plastic jars and then he has to get bring them back, but taking it away from him is the hard part so I got 2 jars that I throw and since he is such a greedy lil' bastard I throw one and when he brings it back I throw the other one and he drops the one he just brought, this game can go for as long as he is willing to run and bring the jars.

Took the day off
Hello All, I took yesterday off because I had exceeded the amount of hours that are alotted to me for the year so if I hadn't I would lose it, well sometimes you have to take days off, what a bummer since I enjoy coming to work, I guess it is who I am. Well I did yard work all day yesterday (mowed, edged, resowed. During the work Kobe crushed my Crape Myrtle so from now on Kobe can not be in the front yard because he is a monster on my plants. I still have not heard from the team members about the work distribution that they have been working on and this will be hard for Carlos to bring it together in a shorter time. Romi came by yesterday with his brother to check out the room and to have his brothers approval. We signed the paperwork, so he is officially on board for at least 3 months, and after that as it is with all my roommmates they can leave if they so choose to do so.
Weight at start: 199 lbs
Today's weight: 190.5 lbs
Excercise: Wednesday: gym (40 minutes)
bench press: 150 lbs: 3 sets of 10-12 reps
crunches (center and left and right obliques) : 3 sets each: 20 reps
dumbell curls (25 lbs): 3 sets: 10-12 reps
calve raises 90 lbs (achilles tendor injury): 3 sets: 10 reps
tricep pull downs (80 lbs): 3sets: 15 reps
seated curling bar( 50 lbs): 3 sets: 12 reps
Food consumption I can remember but I know that yesterday, I did not eat well with 3 piece combo from Church's FC. and 1 hot pocket.
This is not good because my body feels that I am starving it and I do not want to do that, if you do it will store more fat rather than use it as energy.
Kobe eats to an he had 6 cups of Puppy Chow plus the bones from Church's.
Hav a good weekend everyone.

Potential Roommate Complete
Yesterday after a brisk end to the work day, I met up at my home with a potential roommate, his name is Romie from Nigeria( the part from Nigeria is not his last name of course) the guy seems very cool, very honest and wants me to draw up a contract, I told him that "I am a non contract landlord meaning that if you want to leave, you can at anytime, but I usually require that you stay at least 3 months", in any case he wants to move in and will most likely at the end of this month or even week, I am unsure of his schedule or mine for that matter. I went to class and the instructor was ill so he did not make it, I had to make a presentation but without adewuate feedback it was mnore of a show. I came home let Kobe run around for a while and later watched this show, the Pick-Up Atrist, man those guys can sure run some sets, it was the fianle. This morning when I was out watering the plant (not peeing on them) the neighbor across the street, he's black, started playing his music real loud, I was like respect, homes, let those people who have jobs sleep alittle. My roommate Tom, woke up saying, "Some people are so rude."

What a Day??
Thursday was a day much like my new schedule of things to do, I was to have a person come over to see the room, but did not show up or call, I guess they just dont need a palce, anyhow so I just kinda went about day and took Kobe for a jog, Kobe doesn't know how to jog he just runs, and stops and almost made me trip over him. I went to the Rose Bowl where bicyclist and channel 4 news was there talking about how the cyclists are making it tough for cars, peds, and everyone in general. I just happened to be driving when these first few cyclists kinda roughly cut into traffic and I waited next thing I am waiting for about 60 of these guys to go by they speed passed me at about 45-55 MPH that is above the speed limit. Well my girlfriend, Jennifer, met me for a jog, we are doing this jogging and losing weight together. We ran for about 35 min. and brisked walked for about 15 minutes. Kobe has completely destroyed my shades that I have in the patio, in addition Kobe has already eaten a futon, this behavior needs to be stopped, and if your reading this Kobe, you better stop. Yesterday after the run he tried to poop on my grass and he knows better than that so right as he was about to squat I say,"Hey!!" He immediately stops and goes to his area, and refuses to do his business, just kinda looks at me like I just prevented him from creating a Michealangelo on a canvas.

Interview with a potential roommate
After work yesterday I went home and was getting dressed when the new candidate for the room came by, she had a friend. I welcomed them both in the house and gave them a quick walk through of the house, I should say about the house its about 925 sq.ft. 3 bedroom, 1 bath, nice front yard or at least I think it is, I should say that I baised based on the fact that I have done all the work to it and it has a been a labor of love. In any case I showed her the house and she walked into the bathroom, yes a smaller victory for me. I showed them the back yard which is a work in progress and then the kitchen and her room if I select her. Well I showed her the place and she just loved it, I just have to make a decision. She had a pet, cat, but I just can't have a living thing at home while no one is home, its just not my thing, that is why Kobe stays outside.

A new roommate came to see the place
After work I did the usual thing of letting Kobe out and he does his run then return and I went outside to see the yard and take out some weeds. The roommate came by and saw the place she was a super cool gal, she was quite impressive and so I would have to rank her on top of the list. Any case she came by and Kobe just mobbed her and then left some saliva on her. I have gotten a few calls from people asking about the room but so I have a til the weekend to decide because I just don't want to deal with this anymore. I have one gal coming in today and a guy tomorrow, he wanted to make it on Friday but come on guy Friday after work is not good for me or my girlfriend, we usually have dinner on that date.

Food:
1 banana
3 crackers
4 diet Pepsi
2 portions of Salad

Were those gun shots that I heard
I would first like to premise that all the things that I say are just my thoughts and I in no way investigated to find out whether what I believe is true or whether they are just an imaginary thoughts that run through my mind.
Last night after class I drove up into my driveway an the gate was wide open, which was odd, and noticed that my roommate's, Tom, car was in the driveway talking on the cell phone, man he can talk for hours, I went into the house and later took the dog out of his area so that he could run and play, which he did with great appreciation. I then walked him through a few training techniques; stay, sit, down, and come. Kobe does all these very well but he is a puppy and loses focus rather quickly but as quick as before, I need to do some more tricks and have him turn into the best fighting dog ever, Ala Michael Vick, just kiddin; my dog would be the worst fighter ever since he all he wants to do is play. Well getting back to Tom, he stood in the car and just talked until Kobe finally saw him and started jumping onto the window and putting saliva all over the glass. I eventually prepped the dog food and put Kobe into his place again. Oh, by the way, I decided that I need to workout since my injured Achilles I have gained 30 lbs. as saying go,'More of me to love', yeah right. Oh, I also heard gun shots, and then the helicopter came, but no ambulance, those drive byers are such bad shots!!

End of the week Review
Hello All,
This was a most memorable weekend in that it was Mexican Independence Day. It was my friends Birthdays as well, Erica and Javier (Chino). We headed into Ol' Town Pasadena where the people come in groves to kick it. But before I get into that, on Saturday I visited my mother and dad at their home in Norwalk, CA. My younger sister lives there too so I saw her as well, my older brother also lives there but I didn't see him. My mom was telling me about how he was pulled over for riding a bike, walking, and sitting, all in the span of about a month. The first obvious question is sitting? She explained it as follows, ' since he parks his car across the street in an empty house, that is livable, with the owner's consent, all should be well but the police saw him and they told him that he did not live there and therefore was in violation. He informed the police that he has been looking over the house for the past 2 years and no one has ever told him anything before and since the owner pays him to oversee it why now.' Well he was pulled over for riding his bike since he was not on the curb and when he was walking when it was later in the evening. My brother has bad luck with the police.
I on the other hand finally did as Pasadena requested and trimmed the fence to the regulated 4', that was a bummer considering I enjoy my backyard privacy. Kobe was all over the place, meaning using the power tool, circular saw, he was between me and the wall so I was having to arch over to cut, which some of the cuts not as straight as they should have been, makes me look like a drunkard that cut the fence down.
Sunday, I continued to write my paper for the MBA classes that I am taking, I should graduate in March.
I also has the carpet cleaned in anticipation of the new roommate which I have not decided on.

Changing Room mates
Yesterday I had a person come over to look at the room that I have to rent. With prices going through the roof, and with me having an extra room to rent why not fill a room with a "good" person. I will talk in greater detail about the people that have come and gone through the room but as for now my "potential roommate" and that is why I use that term so loosely, arrived and I welcomed her in. I showed her the living room and then the bath room, something weird happened when I showed her the bathroom. I said,"Go ahead take a better look you can go inside." Her response took me by surprise,"No, it's okay." I feeling that she might not want to impose I reaffirmed her that is was okay and repeated,"Go ahead take a look." At this point her position was quite more firm,"No!" I at this point was like, what's her problem, but not wanting to show my discontent I continued to show her the kitchen and then the backyard. She was more interested in the space for her dog then that of one for herself. She then pointed out the sound of the freeway and how loud it was, which is it not, she then mentioned how she likes to have the windows open to let in fresh air, I live in Pasadena, CA or for that matter LA County, fresh air I reiterate, good luck with that or any person looking for fresh, she should get a HEPA filter or be like those drivers that I see on the freeweigh with a surgical mask looking like ninjas or Michael Jackson. Well she then asked about central air at which I told her that we didn't have it, and told her that a window AC would be good if temperature was a problem during the summer days, but then if you want to have the window open for fresh air that would make it hard to do. In any case I walked her out and she left me and Kobe for the evening, but not before asking for directions to the 110 fwy, which I sent her in the wrong direction, just kidding, I told her as she left that if she gets lost and needs directions again to give me a call, never heard from her so I guess she did alright.
After she left I remembered that I never showed her the room that she was interested in moving into, man that was weird, then I thought about the bathroom incident and it made sense that she didn't want to go in there, it's a confined space and a person could be assaulted if not knowing where she is going, so I guess she did okay in not taking a better look, good for her, nowadays you just never know. Sign of the times we live in.

My First Day of Blogging
Well,
I Don't really know what to say but I will start off by talking about my dog... Kobe. This lil' guy really likes to play. When I got home yesterday I do my usually routine of letting him out into the backyard. He is like a caged bull, once I let the hinge loose he rams his way out, side note I wanted to use the word ram, since I am a St. Louis Rams fan, I miss those 2000-2002 seasons but I guess all things must come to an end, anyhow, back to Kobe(chocolate Lab, 7 months, I don't know how many that is in human years). Well he does his usual running out like he is going somewhere and then it dawns on him and he realizes just as it has for the last 5 months, I have to open the other gate too, so he runs back to me and jumps and does all the playing until I open the second door and then he makes a run into the back yard for what appears to be the running of the bulls in Paplona, I have a narrow area near the back of the house where the second gate is located. Well I do the usual things of caring for him and then checking on the yard for dry spots. Then I read what I am studying... I will talk more about these things so keep an eye open.
